Home Design & Decor
As a mom of two boys, I loved Christmas. And my Mom had loved Christmas. Between the several generations, I had amassed a treasure trove of ornaments and special decorations. But the boys grew and started their own families, I downsized and moved to a new house, and was physically no longer able to wrangle a tree or outside garland. So what would become of Christmas? Enter Simple JOY Designs and the magical work of its owner Nancy Masannat. The prized nutcracker stood at attention, the lighted angel climbed again to the top of the tree, the special handmade family ornaments all were displayed with a smile (especially the one with the popcorn!), the treasured glass ornaments gently placed. The Santa and Mrs. Claus figurines took life on the mantel and even the basement rec room danced with all of the kid-friendly Santa pigs, reindeer puppets and pop-up books. The garland and wreathes securely fashioned to the outside porch rail and doorway to withstand the blustery December nights – in a word – the joy returned. Clearly as you can see, I am a believer of the joy in Christmas. I am also a believer in the power of small woman-owned businesses because while raising those two boys, I ran three businesses of my own. Nancy Masannat offers you the best kind of business services ever – as personified in her company’s name: Simple Joy. Thank you for all that you do Nancy!
